Yoga & Yoga Therapy

I have taken many trainings over the years in both the U.K. and India in Hatha, Kundalini, Scaravelli, Hot, Restorative, yoga philosophy & Yoga Therapy. I have an intelligent and considered approach with the ability to deconstruct classical postures and adapt them to the needs of  individuals. I have spent many years working at leading Yoga centres, gyms, the corporate field and 1-1.
I have worked extensively with people suffering with mental health conditions, addictions, stress and have also taught international workshops and retreats. I have a ten year unbroken daily meditation & pranayama practice in which time I have fully explored many techniques.
Meditation and the breath are key elements to my practice and teaching along with strengthening exercises and classical asana.

People often ask me "what style of yoga do you teach?" and my answer is simple: whatever my students need.

Yoga therapy is the prescriptive use of various yogic techniques such as asana, pranayama, relaxation and meditation to help people achieve their health goals. Suitable for chronic health conditions, illnesses, injuries, stress or just for general health maintenance. Yoga therapy helps clients to improve function and reduce or manage their symptoms.
A yoga therapist looks not only at the physical level but on all levels of being to help bring optimum health and wellness.
A yoga therapy session will typically last 1.5 hours. I will ask you to complete a detailed health questionnaire before your first appointment. He will then interview you and go through any concerns you have, watch you move, watch you breathe and then formulate a personalised home practice with you. Follow up appointments may be 1 or 1.5 hours, where the practice can be fine tuned as symptoms improve or goals change.
